Thomas Gomart, Director of Ifri, the French Institute of International Relations, will be in Toronto on March 17th for a discussion organized at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. The subject of his talk will be: "Geopolitical Risks : Russia, China and the United States".

The conference will take place at 2 pm, at 1 Devonshire Place, Room 208N (North House). You can register here.

Thomas Gomart, along with Thierry de Montbrial, directed a book published last January in France and entitled "Our National Interest. Which foreign policy for France?" (Notre intérêt national. Quelle politique étrangère pour la France?).

Ifri, the Institut français des relations internationales, is a think-tank dedicated to international affairs and based in Paris.

About Thomas Gomart

Thomas Gomart's academic and professional background has been closely related to post-Soviet space, as Lavoisier Fellow at the Moscow State Institute for International Relations (2001), Visiting Fellow at the EU Institute for Security Studies (2003) and Marie Curie Fellow at Department of War Studies at King’s College (2003-2004). He holds a PHD in History (Paris I - Panthéon La Sorbonne) and an EMBA from HEC Paris.

He funded and was Director of the Russia/NIS Centre of Ifri from 2004 to 2013, has been Vice-President for Strategic Development of Ifri from September 2010 to March 2015, and was appointed Director of Ifri in April 2015.
