As part of the Canada’s Top Ten Festival of the Toronto International Film Festival (April 27-30), you are welcome to attend the screening of Anne Emond's movie Nelly at the National Gallery of Canada on April 29 at 6:30 pm. The movie depicts the fictional figures and personalities of the writer Nelly Arcan, played by Mylène Mackay.

Then, from the 24th to the 27th of May, the show La Fureur de ce que je pense, directed by Marie Brassard, will be performed at the National Arts Center (NAC), developing the tribute paid to Nelly Arcan thanks to six actresses and a dancer in a confusing scenography that seems both to imprison and to protect the bodies of the performers. Program:

5.30pm: Enjoy a drink and a treat in the Water Court Foyer before the film. Tulips and Maple is offering cash bar service, and a variety of sweets and flavoured popcorn.

6.30pm: Movie screening in the Auditorium with a recorded introduction the film director Anne Emond. There will be a talk with three guests afterwards:

- Brigitte Haentjens, stage director and artistic director of the NAC

- Patricia Smart, professor emeritus of Carleton University and author of De Marie de l’Incarnation à Nelly Arcan

- Catherine Voyer-Léger, animator, columnist and president of the Outaouais Book fair.
