In the framework of the COP21, the Cultural service of the French Embassy in Canada and the Ottawa French Alliance launch a call for projects to participate to global performance, an artistic marathon : "24 hours for the climate". For artists, architects, designers, dancers, performers and street artists of Canada on the theme « Urban art and the climate » with a contest and the possibility to win one month residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2016 .

FID Marseille - Call for films

Every year in early July, the FIDMarseille —Marseille’s International Film Festival— presided by Paul Otchakovsky-Laurens and directed by Jean-Pierre Rehm, proposes a programme of 130 films to approximately 23,000 spectators, in cinemas, theaters, libraries, art galleries, and in open-air amphitheaters throughout the city. The festival presents a large number of films in their world premiere as well as first films. Today, the FIDMarseille is recognized as a source of new cinemas, both documentary productions as well as fiction films.

FRENCH FILMS On Campus 2015/2016

French Films on Campus is a program presented by the Cultural Services of the Embassy and the Consulates of France in Canada. Its purpose is to bring the best of Contemporary French Cinema to college and university students by providing the means for them to organize their own French Film Festivals. The French Films on Campus team is pleased to bring you a rich selection covering a variety of subjects and genres that range from comedy and action to animation and documentary.


YOUNG FRENCH CINEMA is a program of UniFrance films, in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in NYC, which aims to bring French films with no American nor Canadian distribution to art house cinemas, film societies, the Alliance Française network, and Canadian universities.

MOBILE FILM FESTIVAL : Deadline for submission is September 28, 2015

For its first international edition, the Mobile Film Festival announces partnership with United Nations focus on the Climate Change topic.


The purpose of the residence program is to host artists and writers who have a specific project to develop in Paris. Each project, for all disciplines should be carried out in partnership with a previously specified local institution or other structure, company, artist, or indeed a well-known personality from the arts and culture in Paris or surrounding area. Overall, any research project should be developed in Paris, in harmony with the host town and its cultural environment. This residency, which is a privileged period of reflection and creativity for the artist, will contribute to the presence and visibility of international artists in Paris.

CALL FOR ENTRIES 2015 - Emergence Lab

Emergence Lab is a bilingual residency dedicated to new and emerging forms of storytelling. This five-day residency brings together experienced traditional authors with multimedia artists and technicians to explore the world of multiplatform stories through two storytelling projects specially selected for the program. It will take place June 1-5, 2015 at the Banff Centre. Emergence Lab is a partnership between The Banff Centre, the Institut français, and the French Embassy in Canada with the support of the Canada Media Fund and On Screen Manitoba

Call for the selection of fellows (pensionnaires) 2015/2016 - Villa Medicis

The French Academy in Rome announces the competition for selecting resident fellows 2015/2016 (pensionnaires) at Villa Medici starting next September for a period of 12 to 18 months. The competition is open to French-speaking artists and scholars of all nationalities, aged from 20 to 45 (by December 31, 2015).
