2017 Paris Fellowship Program for Foreign Editors

On the occasion of 2017 Paris Book Fair next March, fourteen foreign Editors and Rights Managers, specialized in fiction or non fiction, will be invited to Paris to participate in 2017's edition of the Fellowship Program, organized by the International Bureau of French Publishing (BIEF).

The seven-day program, from March 25th to March 31st, will consist of professional as well as informal meetings with French editors and visits of French publishing houses.

For next year's edition, several roundtables will be set up around the forthcoming stakes of publishing foreign fiction and non fiction books, in France and elsewhere.

A whole day and two mornings will be dedicated to B2B meetings between the fourtenn Fellow Editors, French Editors and Foreign Rights Managers.

This 7th edition of the Fellowship Program is organized by the International Bureau of French Publishing (BIEF), with the support of the National Book Centre (CNL) and the French Society of Authors (SOFIA).

Please note that the BIEF will bear the cost of the Fellows’ stay in Paris (accomodation and per diem) but the flight tickets will remain at the expense of the foreign editor or his/her publishing house.

You must send your application form, with your CV, your company’s approval of this program, a letter containing your personal motivations, and a letter of recommendation from a person of your choice, to Katja Petrovic's email - k.petrovic@bief.org - before November 30th, 2016.
