Julien Gosselin was born in Oye Plage (Pas-de-Calais). After graduating from high school, he studied theatre lessons in the Théâtre du Nord, directed by Stuart Seide.
In 2009, he founded with friends the company Si vous pouviez lécher mon coeur, whose title is taken from Claude Lanzmann's Shoah movie. Julien Gosselin directed Fausto Paravidino's Gênes 01 and Anja Hilling's Tristesse animale. In 2013, his staging and adaptation of Michel Houellebecq's Les Particules élémentaires (Atomised) attracted wonderful audience response during the Festival d'Avignon.
