Music Canada

Music Canada is a non-profit trade organization founded in 1964 that promotes the interests of its members as well as their partners, the artists. Music Canada’s members are engaged in all aspects of the recording industry, including the manufacture, production, promotion and distribution of music and also works closely with recording studios, live music venues, concert promoters and managers in the promotion and development of the music cluster.

Hors Les Murs

Hors Les Murs is a national resource website for the performing arts, the street arts and circus arts. Established in 1993 by the Ministry of Culture, it develops observation missions and support artistic practices through information, documentation, training, study, research and edition.

Gigantic online encyclopedia for performing arts, this site offers more than 800 short videos contextualized, interviews and more than 400 hours of live performances. Nearly 50 thematic programs are also available, exploring the contemporary areas of theater, opera, dance, circus, street arts, and puppets.

Centre National du Théâtre (CNT)

Established in 1992, the Centre National du Théâtre is a resource and consulting center dedicated to theater, and acts as a unique place for echoing contemporary theater practices. At the crossroads of various performing arts, the CNT is a meeting place for discussion, questions, serving everyone, from professionals to the broader public, who wish to train, study and deepen their knowledge about theater, make connections or simply remain curious.

Centre National de la Danse (CND)

The Centre National de la Danse supports dance and performance in several way: it provides services, and training for professionals; it supports the creation through residencies and co productions; it presents artists and companies on site or off site. CND also reinforces the dialogue with audiences through conferences and symposia, supports studies and research on dance as well as publications. Finally, CND offers access an extensive documentation center with a mediatheque and a library.

Centre National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC)

By giving circus creators an essential role, the CNAC is helping to remove the boundaries between different artistic disciplines, thus freeing the circus arts. The Cnac is made up of a centre for higher education in the Circus Arts and a centre for documentation, study and research into teaching. These two centres confirm the Cnac's position as a place of research and innovation in terms of artistic creation, teaching, reflection on movement and the body, and health and safety.

Institut International de la Marionnette (IIM)

The Institut International de la Marionette centres around three main activities: training, creation and research. It is a place for reflection on the art of puppetry and welcomes a diversity of artistic forms.

Centre National du Mime (CNM)

The Centre National du Mime is an association whose goal is to promote the art of mime. It offers information about current events related to the art of mime and its actors, but also attempts, through its website, debates and the Cahier du CNM, to gather documents that will perserve the history of mime and follow its evolution.

Cité de la musique

It is a the reference institution dedicated to music, with more than 250 concerts per year, both for adults and yound audiences. The Cité de la Musique is a museum of rare music collections, equipped with more than 100,000 documents and a rich and varied educational offer. Resolutely open to the world, the City of Music hosts the most prominent international artists.

Centre de Documentation de la Musique Contemporaine (CDMC)

The CDMC is a link between composers, performers and organisers for innovative projects and the encouragement of new repertories; it also takes part in promoting works with programmers. The CDMC regularly organises encounters, seminars and professional day sessions; these events facilitate the exchange of points of view between specialists and professionals, and allow composers and performers to get together.

IRMA

The Information and Resource Centre for Popular Music Forms (Centre d’information et de ressources pour les musiques actuelles - IRMA) is a none profit organization, which groups the Jazz Information Centre (Centre d’Information du Jazz - CIJ), the Traditional Music Information Centre (Centre d’information des musiques traditionnelles - CIMT) and the Rock and Popular Song Information Centre (Centre Information Rock et Chanson - CIR).

POLAU (Pôle des Arts Urbains)

The pOlau, created in 2007 under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, is an centre for producing art projects in public space and an institution specialized in public cultural policies.

Maison du Hip Hop

The Maison du Hip-Hop's main mission is to promote knowledge and awareness of Hip-Hop. Its project is build in three poles: a documentation center, a center for artistic research (experimental laboratories and artist residencies) and a debates commission (round tables and conferences).
