Invited to Toronto by Mercer Union, as part of the Steps/Mesures program organized in partnership with the Cultural Service of the French Embassy in Canada and the Institut français in Paris, Céline Poulin will be in Toronto to present a talk outlining her curatorial research, outlining her role as the Director of the CAC Brétigny.

Céline Poulin has been the director of the centre for contemporary art in Brétigny, France, since June 2016. She has been an independent curator since 2004, and offsite curator at the Parc Saint Léger from 2010 till 2015. Recently, she led the exhibitions programs and events “Les Incessants” at Villa du Parc in Annemasse, 2016, “Traucum” at the Parc Saint Léger in 2014. Guest curator at Deutsches Achitektur Zentrum in Berlin in partnership with the Bureau des arts plastiques et de l’architecture, she curated «A SPACE IS A SPACE IS A SPACE» in September 2015. She is a co-founder member of the curatorial research collective le Bureau/, which organized ten exhibitions around Europe.

Steps/Mesures is a short-term residency program presented in partnership with the Institut Français and the Consulate General of France in Toronto.  This program invites artists and curators living in France to Toronto to forge conversation between cultural ecologies.
