A unique journey throught Galerie F
Atout France Office imagined an innovating concept, which highlights France through 50 French brands and products : La Galerie F will be presented at the same time in France and in Canada in the summer 2014.
Every day, thousands of tourists purchase products that are created and made in France without knowing the story behind it: which city or what region they come from, who designed it, why the colour stands for... However, these products and brands are wonderful French symbols around the world.
This specific French know-how will be highlighted within the exhibition Galerie F, which presents to a general audience the talents of the French designers and manufacturers, as well as the regions and cities where these activities have been created.
This original travel through French brands and products will approach different know-how that made France known for, including food, cosmetic, welfare, fashion, literary or tourism. Galerie F will unveil the secrets of each product and will invite the public to visit the regions where they originally emerged.
One other special feature of this exhibition are the testimonies of several personalities whose stories are related to the exhibited brands : Yannick Alléno, Mireille Darc, Alix Girod de L’Ain, Pierre Hermé, Christian Lacroix, Patrice Leconte, Valérie Lemercier or Joël Robuchon tell us, with humor, affection their unique relationship with one or another product.
The Galerie F will be presented at Sofitel Le Carré Doré Montréal, at the French Embassy in Ottawa, and will end its Canadian tour in Grand-Saut in New Brunswick for the World Acadian Congress.
