On October 27 and 28, 2017, On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Canadian confederation, the University of Alberta organized a series of events to rediscover the distinctive contribution of the French-speaking European communities (Belgian, French, and Swiss) to the material, intellectual, and spiritual history of Canada.
