The cultural and scientific services of the Embassy of France in Canada (SCAC) supports the International Symposium on Applications on Artificial Intelligence, organized on Sept. 27th – 28th by the German-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (GCCIR). The SCAC funded the visit of Mr. Rodolphe Gelin, Chief Scientific Officer and director of innovation at SoftBank Robotics. As an engineer, Mr. Gelin previously worked at the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and was always involved in project regarding robotics and innovation, be that on a national or European scale. He is also a regular guest jury for PhD thesis.
This two-day symposium will bring together international experts on Artificial intelligence to discuss its applications in various technology sectors. Topics will include the role of AI in Precision Health, Transports, Precision Agriculture/AgriFoods, Human and Machine Interaction, Policy, Future Energy Systems, and Humanities and Social Sciences.
