Despite the sanitary crisis and the fact that we cannot meet in person to share our love for books and especially comics, the Alliances françaises in Canada teamed up to offer a comic contest in Fench for all ages !

You are invited to prepare a short comic, in French, on the following theme: “While human beings are confined, animals take power on earth…” Draw the rest of the story!

Participants will be divided into three age categories:

• children (7-12 years old) : for the children’s category, create your comic on one page (A4 paper or letter format) with art supplies of your choice!
• teens (13-17 years old): for the teenager’s category you can create your comic in French on two pages (A4 paper or letter format) or by using the app « BDnf – la fabrique à BD ».
• and adults : as for teenagers, you can create your comic in French on two pages (A4 paper or letter format) or by using the app « BDnf – la fabrique à BD ».

When it’s ready, scan your comic and send it to the Alliance in your area in PDF format. Deadline is May 24th. Depending on where you live use one of the following email address to send your work :

The best comics will be selected by a jury of French comic book artists, authors and illustrators. Three comics will be selected for each Alliance Française in Canada. The winners will be exhibited by Alliance Française. Winners will also receive a selection of published comic books in physical and digital format.
