The Festival franco-ontarien is a major event for Francophones and Francophiles from Ontario. This festival offers many concerts and entertainments for adults and children. It was created on May 23, 1976 by Pierre DeBlois (president of the ACFO of Ottawa-Carleton at that time) and has as its primary mission to celebrate french-speaking cultural pride and more particularly the Ontario Francophone community. It is also a time for Anglophones to discover more about French culture around the world (music, cuisine, etc.).
