Event Details
Laura Huertas Millán is a French-Columbian artist living in Paris. Her film La Libertad, will be screened at the exhibition These Hands scheduled for March. This young filmmaker at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris and Le Fresnoy. Her films have been circulating in international festivals (FIDMarseille, 25 FPS), as well as galleries (Gennevilliers) and museums (Palais de Tokyo, The Guggenheim Museum…). Her 2016 film, Sol Negro played at FID Marseille where it received a special jury prize for the French competition.
The exhibition These Hands which welcomes Laura Huertas Millán is focused on the question of work —how it’s imagined, mythologized, and represented. These artists look at women as labourers in societies where their labour is often invisible and undervalued.
An opening will take place on the 22 of March at 7pm.
