Event Details
The French philosopher Anne Sauvagnargues, expert on Simondon and Deleuze, author of Deleuze and Art (2013), and of Artmachines: Deleuze, Guattari, Simondon (2015), is invited at Simon Fraser University to hold a conference : « Simondon’s Philosophy of Technical Modes of Existence and Its Influence on French Theory ».
Simondon is an important post-war philosopher. His theory of technology had a decisive influence on famous philosophers such as Gilles Deleuze, Bernard Stiegler or Bruno Latour. To understand them fully, one must engage with Simondon’s philosophy.
