On Monday November 23rd, the online L’Oréal-Unesco award ceremony in partnership with the France Canada Research Fund (FCRF) for “Women in Science” was held!

Exceptionally, there are not 2 but 3 laureates who distinguished themselves! Regarding of the high level of excellence of the candidates, L’Oréal Canada wished to attribute a 3rd grant. It was more important than ever, due to the circumstances, to send a positive signal for women in sciences who can go through difficulties in their researches.

Here are the names of the happy laureates:

  • Mackenzie Urquhart-Cronish, a doctoral student at UBC who is studying in the fields of botany and biodiversity;
  • Justine Salam, who is completing a PhD in International and Comparative Political Economy at the University of Waterloo.
  • Hope Boyce, a doctoral student at McGill University who is studying astrophysics;

The 3 laureates have been selected for the remarkable quality of their works, but also for their inspiring trajectory, who can create vocations among girls and women.
