The main issues faced by the science of materials will be presented to you by Danièle Quantin, ArcelorMittal France R&D Director. Discover with her themes such as multi-materiality, the evolution of materials’ functions, their second life and recycling… and much more!

Materials are indeed everywhere around us and transform many innovations in reality.  The science of materials is wide: from process (from raw materials to usable matter) to manufacturing (mechanical characteristics, ability to be transformed in objects – forming, joining, adhesive bonding) until in use (with) final properties, as fracture, appearance, corrosion.

Danièle Quantin will present these issues in a 40min speech in English and will open the discussion with the audience, in French or in English.
