Éric Piolle, Mayor of Grenoble, will be part of the Curious Minds Weekend, which takes place at the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema from March 1st until March 3rd. The Curious Minds Weekend is the most significant international debate festival in Canada, organized by the Hot Docs Cinema and The Globe & Mail, and gathering each year more than 5 000 people. This year, the festival is inviting the American Democratic strategists Donna Brazile and Leah Daughtry, the New York Magazine journalist Rebecca Traister, the scientist Jon Kabat-Zinn, and the authors Frances Mayes and Marlon James. Mayor Piolle will discuss with Mr David Miller, former Mayor of Toronto and director for North America of the C40 Cities, about the power of cities in the fight against climate change, on Saturday, March 2nd at 5 pm. The debate will be moderated by Marcus Gee, a columnist from The Globe & Mail awarded by the John Humphrey award for human-rights reporting of Amnesty International in 2002.
