he Institut français du Canada is a financially autonomous organization attached to the Embassy of France. Its goal is to become a main tool for cooperation between France and Canada and to help bring our two countries even closer together by promoting common values and deepening our mutual understanding of our differences through language, education, culture and science.
The IFC reinforces France-Canada cooperation by organizing cultural events, debates and conferences, residences and more with various Canadian partners using a multidisciplinary approach that enables it to reach different audiences.
The IFC works in collaboration with the French Embassy’s Cultural and Scientific Service, the Paris Institut français (which leads France’s cultural action abroad) as well as other French and Canadian cultural and scientific institutions.
