Alliance Française Halifax (AFH), with the support of the Consulate of France French in the Atlantic Provinces, is hosting the Très Court International Film Festival on Sunday June 9, 2019. The screening of the international competition will be divided into two parts : from 1 pm to 2 pm and from 3 pm to 4 pm at Halifax Central Library. The public will vote to elect the 2019 Public Award.
The Très Court International Film Festival is an event without borders, with screenings happening during 10 days simultaneously in nearly one hundred cities in France and 30 other countries. In Halifax, AFH will present thirty-eight films of less than 4 minutes representing the best and especially the shorter of the global audiovisual production year.
Thriller, drama, comedy, romance, documentary, animation… many different kinds of short films will be presented. Connections are forged between films, but also between audiences across the world. From South America and Canada to Europe and Asia, come discover films from France, Canada, Spain, Turkey, Norway, Taiwan… Films will be presented with English subtitles.
