The IREST (Institute for Research and Advanced Studies in Tourism) of the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne offers a high-level bilingual French/English post-graduate course in tourism with focus on highly specialized French tourism expertise. This unique academic program is designed for international professionals having acquired a higher degree or significant professional experience in tourism. It is also open to students who have completed at least three years of academic studies.
This short training programme takes place between October and January.
It includes a core curriculum and two main training fields:
- Local tourism planning
- Hotel development
Courses will be given in French and/or English language by lecturers of the Sorbonne University and French and foreign professionals specialised in tourism. Visits of French tourism companies and tourist sites of Paris and its region are part of the program.
The program also includes two study excursions to significant French tourist regions and is followed by a dedicated training internship (1 to 6 months) in a tourism-oriented business or administration.
After the successful completion of the course students are awarded a postgraduate diploma of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
