During the International Brain Awareness Week, UBC and the National Core for Neuroethics brought together specialists for a workshop entitled “Neuroethics solutions for the neurotechnology industry”.

Among other experts, Dr. Hervé Chneiweiss, Pierre & Marie Curie University, France, took part of the discussion around the ethical issues in the design and implementation of technology when delivering the highest quality solutions for customers and ensuring adherence to regulatory norms and also as a key component in building trust between technology developers and stakeholders.

25 professionals including Dr. Raymund Schwan, head of the department of Psychiatry from the University of Nancy, France, have participated to this workshop.

The National Core for Neuroethics, an elite research group located at the University of British Columbia (UBC), is a world leader in understanding how to integrate society’s ethical traditions with frontier technological developments in neurosciences.
