The “Prix Albertine Jeunesse” will be back for its fourth edition in September 2021, and all classes from kindergarten to 6th grade (cycle 1 to cycle 3) in the AEFE network in North America are invited to participate.

This bilingual North American child’s literary prize was created to inspire a desire to read among young people. Besides, it allows teachers to address certain themes in literature while creating links with their English-speaking colleagues. Each of the proposed works is consequently available in French and English.

This year, the chosen theme is humor. This is an opportunity to reinforce your students’ knowledge of the French language while making them laugh through the selection of works. More than the ridiculous, the absurd or the comical, they will have to work to better understand the insinuations, metaphors, and other innuendos. What methods does the author use to make us laugh? How do they surprise us? Many questions will be addressed in this new edition before voting for your favorite book(s) !

Information is available on the AEFE’s Albertine Prize website where you will find the selection of books, teaching resources, class restitutions, votes, news, and more !

The registration form will be available in September.
